©Gary Bowman Goin’ down to the river, It’s a weekend getaway Five days of work, You got two short days to play Pack up the ’56 Ford, Load up the family Take a country road, It’s a Black River Jamboree Crawdaddies scooting, They got the happy feet Snapping their claws, To the river beat Sun getting high, Let’s go for a float You take a raft, brother, I’m gonna grab a boat Snappin’ Turtle, Baskin’ in the mid-day sun Feel the rhythm of the river, We’re all having fun Papa’s going fishing, Mama’s going fishing, too Catfish a-jumping, What a hullabaloo!
