BONES OF DRAGON
©Gary Bowman

Sunrise in Eastern sky, A village wakes to see
Rise up, Dig the Earth, Ancient discovery
Always remember, The day we found
Bones of Dragon, In the ground

Paleontological, Classical historia,
Sir Richard Owens called ‘em ‘Dinosauria’
Big and little, Short and tall,
‘Fearfully Great’, One and all

From Dakota’s Badlands, to China’s Desert Sands
Excavate, Celebrate, Postulate, Speculate
How did they live?  Where did they go?
I guess I really don’t know

Sunrise in Eastern sky, A village wakes to see
Rise up, Dig the Earth, Ancient discovery
Always remember, The day we found
Bones of Dragon, In the ground
