©Gary Bowman Soar like an eagle, Past billowing clouds, Far from the din, Of the deafening crowd Heavens above, Cañons below, Racing through clouds, Ever higher we go Over the summit, Riding the breeze, Whispering wind-tones, Great ancient trees Breathe living air, The senses employ, Let loose a shout, Wild animal joy! Walking the trails, Black-tailed deer, Chattering chipmunks, Full of good cheer Beetles and butterflies, Sparkle and shine, Sunbeams dance, Through needles of pine, Crossing the path, Of cinnamon bear, Ramble along, With nary a care No fear of the future, No fear of the past, Cloud mountains of rain, Explode now, at last Breathtaking thunder, Flashes of light, Awesome display, God’s Power and Might! Deep mountain streams, Glide over sheer walls, The boom, the roar, Of cascading falls Water songs play, Tones sweet and low, Gather in sparkling pools below Clashing and ringing, Rippling waters, Rush to the basin, Greeted by otters Hilarious joy, Free as a child, Now can you hear, The Cry of the Wild?
