Woke up this morning, I was feelin’ blue
I picked up the paper, and I read the news
Sometimes this world don’t make much sense, like
Lizards Dancing on the Fence

Went for a walk, still got the blues
Holes in my pockets, I got holes in my shoes
Ain’t got a nickel, I ain’t got a dime, but...
I got a satisfied mind

Rich man wearin’ a 3-piece suit,
He’s got golden links, And bright shiny shoes
Big fancy watch, but he ain’t got the time,
To give me one lousy dime
But it’s okay, I’m feeling fine, It’s time well-spent
Sittin’ here watchin’ Lizards Dancing on the Fence
