METAMORPHOSIS
©Gary Bowman Hatching out, Squiggle ‘round, Caterpillars hug the ground Munching leaves, Wildflower, Growing bigger by the hour Crawling on the meadow floor Is this it? Must be more More to life, Tho I can’t see, Just who I’m supposed to be Can we trust, Can there be, A bigger plan for you and me? Doubt and fear, And loneliness, Encased within this Chrysalis Cocoon conceals the change in me, When I emerge, who will I be? Stretching out, Bursting free, Painted wings, Can it be? Sipping nectar, Flowers sigh, Gliding, soaring, Butterfly, Feel the breeze, Kiss the sun, Celebrate what we’ve become Now our dreams, All come true, Summer’s dance, I love you |
