Shot from a cannon, Carried high in a balloon
On the feathers of geese, Fly me to the moon

On a mid-summer’s night, We all gathered round
Glued to the telly, As the Eagle touched down,
We stepped on the Moon, For the very first time
 “One small step for man, One giant leap for mankind.”

Now, decades have passed, My hair has turned gray
And through it all, I remember that day,
We touched the Moon, For the very first time
“We came in peace for all mankind.”
