You’ll find yourself in a terrible fix, Get ready, kid, to take some licks
There ain’t no treats, just awful tricks, Cause Oil and Water Don’t Mix

In the waters of Prince William Sound, There was a terrible spill
Oil flowed from the tanker’s bowels, Half a million sea birds killed
Deadly silence filled the air, The birds were washed ashore
Alaskan loons and laughing gulls weren’t laughing anymore

Deepwater oil drilling rig, Floating off the Cajun Coast
It blew its lid, Yes, it did, It’s what we feared the most
The oil gushed into the gulf, Ten million birds or more,
Were blinded, poisoned, sickened and washed up on the shore.

They’re gonna keep on drilling, As long as we’re consuming
