Or better, in the jungle, Where he has room to roam So, heed my pleas, on bended knees, Don’t Bring an Elephant Home! Please, Don’t bring a chimp in here, ‘Though she’s your new best friend, Don’t you see, she needs a tree, On this you can depend. You know that she’ll be swinging, From our chandelier, So, heed my pleas, on bended knees, Don’t bring a chimp in here! Please, Don’t bring a tiger home, You’re silly if you do, Though he’s a sight, His appetite, Just might include you! Just leave him in the jungle, Where he has room to roam, So, heed my pleas, on bended knees, Don’t bring a tiger home! Please, don’t bring a hippo home, Don’t squeeze him through the door, Though we’re sure to laugh, When he takes a bath, Consider one thing more – How are you going to sleep at night, When he starts to snore? So, heed my pleas, on bended knees, Don’t bring ‘em through that door! So, when you see a critter, Don’t bring him home with you. Though it’s quaint, Use some restraint, It’s what you gotta do.
