It’s the second month, The second day
Grumpy ol’ groundhog, He’s just hibernating
His rowdy neighbors, They’re all celebrating

Prognostication, Is his claim to fame
Punxsutawney Phil, That’s his name
Ya wake him up, He whistles, loud and shrill
Punx-su-tawney Phil

If old Phil sees his shadow
Well, six more weeks of winter, gonna follow
But, if there ain’t no shadow today
Early spring is on its way

Gobbler’s Knob, That’s his home
Have a heart, Just leave ‘em alone
Deep in a burrow, In the rolling hills
