©Gary Bowman Way down in the tropics, Swaying palms, balmy breeze Lived a lonely Sea Horse, In aqua-blue seas Hangin’ in the Sea Grass, Just swimmin’ along Hear his lonesome yodel-aa-ee, All the day long He sees a Sea Horse Beauty, He asks for a date Dorsal fin a-flutters, Her heart palpitates Clinging to the eelgrass, Full moon above Goo-goo-eyed Sea Horses, Falling madly in love Oh-eh-lay-ee-ee, Ah-lay-ee-aa, Ah-lay-ee-ee-ee-ee The Wedding is a-rockin’, With a Puffer Fish band, She’s a Coronet Beauty, He’s a Yodelin’ Man Dancing in the Sea Grass, Just about dawn Angel Fish a-singing, And yodeling along Oh-eh-lay-ee-ee, Ah-lay-ee-aa, Ah-lay-ee-ee-ee-ee Papa has a brood pouch, He’s about to give birth! The Papa is the Mama, Say, hey, what on earth? The family’s growing, Fifty-one…fifty-two… The youngsters all a-playin’, And they’re yodeling, too! Oh-eh-lay-ee-ee, Ah-lay-ee-aa, Ah-lay-ee-ee-ee-ee Angel Fish smile, As they gaze from above At this Sea Horse couple, Still madly in love Swimming through the Sea Weed, With tails entwined, Eating all the Brine Shrimp, That they can find Dancing in the Sea Grass, Just about dawn Together forever, Hear them yodel their song Oh-eh-lay-ee-ee, Ah-lay-ee-aa, Ah-lay-ee-ee-ee-ee |
