YOSEMITE'S VALLEY
©Gary Bowman You and me, the birds and the bees, Here in Yosemite Valley So amazed, as we gaze, At sheer granite walls high above us A long time ago, the glaciers flowed, And sculptured the Yosemite Iridescent butterflies, flutter in the summer skies, In Yosemite Valley A love so true, baby, me and you, Sitting in this beautiful meadow Sometimes we can’t see the forces at work, How would we ever know? Gardens of flowers, We could saunter for hours, In Yosemite Valley What a sight, Clothed in light, Like some celestial city Nature’s own radiant temple The majestic Yosemite Rejoicing streams, Ev’ry living thing, Break into glorious song Making all the air into music So glad you came along Glaciers, quakes, avalanche and flood, And storms of ev’ry sort Tell the story of, and show the glory of, The beautiful love beats of Nature’s heart You and me, the lilacs and trees, Here in Yosemite Valley |
